R-05 Cognitive Reasoning Research Scientist

The goal of the team is to develop cognitive AI systems with strong spatial, temporal, and causal reasoning capability. Research in this topic is related to visual grounding, linguistic understanding, and optimization. A candidate is expected to be comfortable with reading literature in psychology, and familiar with one or more of the following topics:
· Semantic segmentation, object detection and tracking
· Semantic / syntactic language parsing
· Linear programing and convex optimization
· Deep learning, including CNN, LSTM, GNN, Transformer, etc.
· Visual-linguistic pretraining methods
· Visual question answering
· Neuro-symbolic methods

岗位职责
· Work with team members and cross-functional teams to develop and pursue a vision for human understanding.
· Research and develop advanced reasoning technologies.
· Work towards long-term ambitious research goals, while identifying intermediate milestones.
· Influence progress of relevant research communities by producing publications.

岗位要求
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
· Comfortable reading literature outside the field.
· Ph.D. in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, psychology or related fields.
· Strong publication in top conference or journals, such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, AAAI, IJCV, TPAMI.
· Demonstrated experience or ability working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
· Experience in at least one of the programming languages and tools: C/C++, Python.
· Comfortable reading literature outside the field.
